The overview spec talks about stable and unstable paging but doesn't indicate how the client should discover what they're dealing with. All of the following scenarios are possible:
 * Server does not support stable paging
 * Server does not support unstable paging
 * Server may support stable paging for certain types and not others
 * Server may support stable paging in some contexts but not others
 * Server may support the ability to serve either stable or unstable paging upon request from the client

This is not a critical need but should be dealt with at some point.
