Call for presentations is open for OASIS/FIRST Conference, submission deadline 16 Aug
Cyber Threat
Intelligence Matters

Borderless
Cyber and Technical Symposium

Hosted by: FIRST and OASIS

6-8 December

Prague, The Czech Republic

Website: http://eu17.first-oasis-conference.org

Deadline for Proposals: 16 August

OASIS and
FIRST will join forces in December to present a two-day program geared toward
bringing together cyber threat intelligence experts from industry, government
agencies, and CSIRTs worldwide to share experiences, debate, and collaborate on
strategies, tactics, and practices to effectively protect your organization.

We invite
you to join the conversation. If you have ideas and experiences which you feel
would be helpful to people who are responsible for setting their organization’s
cyber strategy, please submit an abstract. Presentations should target a
technical audience from various disciplines, such as security teams, commercial
security vendors, open-source security developers, CSIRTs, and maintainers of
open security standards. Stories of how your organization integrated threat
intelligence to tangibly improve your security, stories of failed efforts and
lessons learned, ideas for fresh approaches, new research findings, as well as
analyses of policy trends are all welcome.

Topics of interest

The Program
Committee is particularly interested in submissions that share Cyber Threat
Intelligence (CTI) experiences and knowledge, such as case studies addressing:

●      Obstacles leading to the success or
failure of an initiative

●      How to use CTI data

●      Policy issues impacting the sharing
and usage of CTI data

●      Tools for sharing and using CTI

●      How to deploy proactive and reactive
threat intelligence automation to save time and resources

●      Emerging exchange standards for CTI
data

●      New models and techniques to classify
information (e.g. Information Exchange Policy (IEP)) in an effort to improve
incident response

●      Evaluation and implementation of new
sharing models — including their economic impact and benefits

●      Recommendations on how to validate
and qualify the information shared — highlighting techniques for dealing with large
amounts of CTI

●      Success and failure stories
integrating CTI into an organisation

●      Legal and technical challenges when
sharing data under new legislations such as NIS and GDPR and between the EU and
other countries (US and alike), including under Mutual Legal Assistance
Treaties (MLATs)

We will accept presentations either 25 or 45 minutes in
length, including Q&A. Panel discussions can be 60 minutes in length.

The Program Committee will peer-review all proposals and
reserves the right to adapt or restructure submissions to ensure an interesting
and compelling program. Marketing presentations will not be considered.

Lightning talk sessions will take place over the two day

take place during the conference.
