RE: [pkcs11] Groups - Flexible KDF Draft 2 uploaded
All, There are new key derivation mechanisms acc. SP800-108 (named CKM_SP800_108_...) in Darren’s proposal, and new key derivation mechanisms acc. SP800-56A Rev. 2 (named CKD_..._KDF_SP800) in my approved proposal https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/pkcs11/download.php/58309/PKCS11_KDF_Proposal_Draft2.doc . As my proposal does not explicitly carry the “56A” in the mechanism names, there might be confusion which NIST spec these key derivation mechanisms adhere to when people only consult the include files. I therefore suggest to change all occurrences of CKD_..._KDF_SP800 to CKD_..._KDF_SP800_56A in my proposal. When taking such decision in tomorrow’s call, I will update the proposal before the end of this week and provide such new version to the editor.
