Moreover, none of the already existing Encrypt and Decrypt functions contain a code example. Usually, there is at least one example in the base spec showing how to use these functions. Thus, such an example should be
 added for message based encrypt/decrypt/sign/verify.

As noted by Daniel the Signature and Verify functions are not documented in the base specification. They should be documented with the same level of detail as the other functions.
