Team,

As you know, we put forth some efforts this year to define potential
enhancements to the registry architecture to accomodate Core
Components.  We had to pause our work several months ago, as the Core
Components specification (under UN/CEFACT) began undergoing major
changes.

Here is some late-breaking news regarding the state of the Core
Components specification - in a nutshell, it has now reached the
UN/CEFACT equivalent of a W3C Candidate Recommendation.
