infoset

I was wondering if anyone in the TC has any inclination to describe in the
specs post-validated RELAX NG in terms of XML infoset
(http://www.w3.org/tr/xml-infoset/) or do you see it as superfluous? Does
anyone think that infoset just serves the needs of interacting W3C specs
only? I have not formed an opinion other than I like the idea of a reliable
set of definitions to use.
