Sorry.  Let me try again.

is prohibited but its equivalent pattern

<oneOrMore>
     <attribute><anyName/></attribute>
</oneOrMore>

is not.

Anyway, "why bother?" is not my favorite.  I very much prefere <multipleAttributes...>.
