Issue: Shall we add the pattern facet to <text>?

I18N people at W3C believe that we need a pattern facet for <mixed> 
of XML Schema.  XML Schema WG turned down this proposal.  As far as 
I know, I18N people are extremely unhappy.

Shall we add an equivalent mechanism to <text/> and thus <mixed>?
