Is SAML fit for Web Services enviroment?

hello all,

	  In SAML profiles , there are only Web sso example.whether it also support Web Service SSO?
For example,in composite Web Services,there are several Service providers.Can user agent get one assertion from IdP and access all of single Web Service included in composite Web Services.If can,how do it? Thanks in advance!
