SAML SP running on a reverse proxy

Hi,

 

I am very new to SAML and trying to understand how it works.  I got some open sources and validated SP initiated SSO, where HTTP server is running.

 

I need to use SP SAML on a reverse proxy, Can you please share some information on it, like where to start, documents explaining this use-case, any open source, etc?
