Process improvement: No change drafts for pure renames

A little while ago I sent mail about Issue #254, “Rename externalizedProperty.version to sarifVersion”. In that mail I said that since this was a pure property rename, I would not send a change draft, but would instead simply move approval
 of the change at the TC meeting.

 

Issue #252, “Rename versionControlDetails.tag to revisionTag”, is similar. There is no need for a change draft; we can just discuss whether it’s a better name.

 

Going forward, I will not produce change drafts for pure property renames. I defined a new issue label
change-draft-superfluous to identify those issues for you:
