RE: SARIF viewers for VS and VS Code: OSS repo locations and MS Marketplace install locations

Mary drove some quick follow-up on this. The auto-fixing gesture is not complete yet in VS Code. We took a pass at this a while back and it stalled due to a lack of solution for the ‘code drift’ problem (i.e., locations in results that
 are invalidated as devs make fixes). That issue is not fixed, so Jeff King will take a look at completing this feature.

 

Jeff has also told us that he has a significant bundle of improvements (including code drift handling) that need to be tidied up and released. He will take care of this ASAP. Will drop a line here once complete.

 

So at this point, if anyone wants to take a viewer for a test drive, the VS extension is the best bet. An updated VS Code drop is imminent, within 1 – 2 weeks at the latest.
