[NEW ISSUE] Remove Conversational interfaces functionality
Raiser: Mike Edwards Target: SCA Assembly specification - CD01-Rev3 Description: The Conversational interfaces capabilities described in the Assembly specification (which affects several of the other SCA specifications also) is a complex feature that is not easy to implement, but neither does it provide the level of capability that is needed by applications. It should be removed from the assembly specification. This is justified by the fact that much of the capability of Conversational interfaces can be achieved by application level data sent in the business interfaces of services. On the other hand, the more complex requirements that have been called for (eg conversations spanning more than 2 components) cannot be implemented using the current capabilities and there is no simple way to progress from the 2 component cases to the multi-component cases. It is likely that the complex cases really require something very different such as "Activity Sessions". Proposal: Remove Conversational interfaces from the Assembly specification entirely.
