[ASSEMBLY 187] Unmarked MUST in section 10.8 - PROPOSAL
Folks, Here is a proposed resolution for Issue 187: Change the text in section 10.8 to read as a single normative statement: For a domain level component with a Property whose value is obtained from a Domain-level Property through the use of the @source attribute, if the domain level property is updated by means of deployment actions, the SCA runtime MUST · either update the property value of the domain level component once the update of the domain property is complete · or defer the updating of the component property value until the component is stopped and restarted [ASM12032] ---------------------------------------------- I would not write a TA or a testcase for this. First, dynamic update of the domain level property is not a required operation, so support for it is purely optional. Second, the choices allowed in this statement mean that alternative behaviours are possible. Third, there is no required API to stop and restart a component. Yours, Mike.
