NEW ISSUE: Missing normative statements for JCA @uri
TARGET: SCA JCA Binding Specification
CD-03

DESCRIPTION:

The binding.jca/@uri attribute describes
two potential cases for the value for the @uri attribute, but no normative
statement of whether this is exhaustive, or enforcing the described behaviour.

PROPOSAL:

Add the following statements to the
description of binding.jca/@uri

For an SCA service with a binding.jca
element with the @uri attribute value specified, if the resource is not
present at the JNDI location identified by the @uri attribute or is not
an Activation Spec the SCA runtime MUST raise an error [BJC200XX]

For an SCA reference with a binding.jca
element with the @uri attribute value specified, if the resource is not
present at the JNDI location identified by the @uri attribute or is not
a Connection Factory the SCA runtime MUST raise an error [BJC200XX]
