- Agree current text is incorrect
- Functions within macros are hard to find
- Macros my implement calculations
- Preprocessor is part of the language
- An implementation could run the preprocessor before generation but...
- Preprocessors typically strip comments (i.e. annotations)
- In many cases functions have "_declspec" type macros the may hide the return type.
David to post some examples
- doxygen had some limited preprocessing functionality which may be an example
