1. Accepting new issues
No new issues.
2. Issues discussion
JAVA-18: Define conformance targets
http://www.osoa.org/jira/browse/JAVA-18
- proposal is in the following email:
http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/sca-j/email/archives/200801/msg00037.html
JAVA-4: Dependency Reinjection
http://www.osoa.org/jira/browse/JAVA-4
Decision 2007/12/06:
No re-injection for conversational components
Decision 2008/01/03:
The ServiceReference corresponds to the (logical) target service of the reference. If that service is undeployed after the service reference is created then attempts to call business methods through that ServiceReference SHOULD throw InvalidServiceException. If the target service is modified, then the service reference MAY continue to work, depending on the runtime and the type of change that was made. If it doesn't work, the exception thrown will depend on the runtime and the cause of the failure.
This resolves:
- does a reference represent the wire or the wire target (i.e. does it get invalid if the target changes, or is it a "smart" proxy)?
Remaining issue:
- does the component context reflect wiring changes during the life time of the component scope?
An overview (and a proposal) has been provided in
http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/sca-j/email/archives/200801/msg00003.html
and discussed in subsequent emails.
Decision 2008/01/10:
ComponentContext.getServiceReference() should be always in sync with the current configuration of the domain
Michael Rowley: Result corresponds to the reference that is passed as a parameter to cast
no objections to dropping the column [for cast()], as long as long as the text typed by Michael is present.
The parameter [proposed by Mike E] on the reference can be dropped, if conversational scoped components are allowed to have reinjection
Discussion for that will continue on the mailing list
Michael R. will also revert the MUST change [in top left box] back to MAY
Michael R. mailed out v3 of the proposal. Simon N. mailed out v4.
