I'm not sure what you mean by Kerberos support, SPNEGO? They're quite
different mechanisms, and most software doesn't do a terribly good job of
supporting radically distinct authentication flows for a single
application.
A future version of Shibboleth is likely to support both SAML and GSS-API
mechanisms via stacking with mod_auth_gss in Apache.
