Applicability of SOA for busienss and/or IT

In the presentation of the Joint White Paper on Navigating SOA Standards (authored by Jeff Estefan and Heather Kreger), the slide "Some non-goals, ideas..." has the bullet-point such as 'The domain of applicability of SOA for business and/or IT.' 

It has appeared to me that the book I just published (Ladder to SOE - http://www.amazon.com/Ladder-SOE-Resourceful-Efficient-Technology/dp/1848761627/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1248093099&sr=8-1) addresses this exact area (in the book, I am talking about Service-Oriented Enterprise referring to OSASIA SOA standards on many occasions). I hope it might be useful for our work (at least, from popularisation perspective).
