Gold copy updates to section 3

Hi,

I’ve only now been able to go through the document and consider a series of possible edits to take on board various points raised, offline away from a word-processor, but haven’t had (and won’t have) time to edit the Word document before
 the morning’s meeting. I will try to summarize the main points on the call (and do a quick note if time allows in the morning) and will be able to work on the actual edits tomorrow afternoon.
