Re: [soa-rm] canceling 10 December and 24 December meetings, but ...
I think, it is a good news about the MITE feedbacks.

On my side, I have updated the diagrams and  _verified_ terms against RAF. As a result, I removed my definitions for some terms and returned to the RAF's one, but have found a few that look strange to me now. I have added a 'book' to the Visio diagrams with the definitions of additional terms and the ones under question in my opinion; for such cases the text of definitions are accompanied by "[RAF]=" symbols and related texts. This means that I am not sure if the RAF's definitions are on the subject.

To Ken's proposal, I think that before "divide up the concept space among the interested" let them read all and choose the most interesting parts for themselves; then, we will  "divide up the concept space" if anything remains.

I propose to point interested people on to RM and RAF _now_ to make them familiar with the materials by the next meeting in January - who is really interested, will find the time in holidays to read, I think.

Best wishes to all in this holiday season! This year we are going to participate in Hogmanay, in Scotland.

Unfortunately, I’ve now got two additional meetings scheduled during our call time for this Wednesday, so I think we need to cancel.  This is disappointing because I sent out a posting to the MITE ontology list about working on a SOA Ontology, and I got back a fair number of responses.  The question is then how best to organize the effort, and I was hoping to discuss that on Wednesday.  So,

ACTION: if we have resources to do the ontology development, how best to use them?  My first thought is to have everyone look over the RM and RAF, agree on a basic approach, and then divide up the concept space among the interested.  Is there a better way to attack this?

Also, it seems prudent to cancel the 24 December meeting too and set the next meeting for 7 January.  However, let’s see if we can get some momentum on the ontology.  If useful, I will schedule a special meeting.

Have a good holiday season.  There will be candles and latkes at my house for anyone in the neighborhood.

Ken
