ODCA Forecast Info - With Video Guidelines
Hi all,

An interesting attachment with some guidelines on the type of video that ODCA is asking for. I told Jane that we might be interested in the “hot topics” track as well or
instead of the PoC track, just so we don’t miss any opportunities.

Thanks,

Paul

Hello All,

I spoke to the folks at ODCA regarding the below opportunities and the TCs interest.  The representative handling the PoC sessions is currently out of the office
for a few weeks.  So, we won’t be able to arrange a call until she returns.  I will keep you all informed.

In the meantime, I did received some additional information on our other options at Forecast.  Below is a quick list of some of those items (one being the virtual
demonstration).  Also, I am attaching the virtual demo format guideline document for your review.  Hopefully this will help the group decide whether this option will work.

In any case, please let me know if the TC is still interested in providing a demo and/or supporting marketing materials.  The deadline to provide any materials
  is 1 September.

Options:

• Demo video (MP4 format preferred)

• 2-3 pieces of marketing material (whitepapers, datasheets, etc.)

• Short company description (less than 75 words) ***OASIS to provide

• Primary contact name and email address for attendee follow up

Thanks so much, Jane

Hi Jane,

I added you to the call for this coming Monday.  Can move to the following Monday if better for you.  Will prime the SC with an email.

  Kind regards,

  Matt

  Hi Matt,

What you say makes sense. Jane would you care to drop in on the TOSCA Interop Demo SC next Monday at 11am EST?

  Thanks,

Paul

  Hi Paul,

Would love to get Jane with the Interop. SC next week as the attendees are the companies that would interop/present and we would need an event leader to step forward which would be (again) likely among one of this member set.  Given the TOSCA YAML work and
OpenStack timelines (Heat-TOSCA translator code), it will not likely be possible for either myself or Thomas to volunteer this time around.

Also, since the attention of the Interop. SC has been on the CIO whitepaper, we have seen a drop off in attendance the past few weeks and would need to confirm ASAP and get some emails out to make sure that this is on the agenda to assure attendance.    Of
course, we can follow-up, summarize or repeat with the TC if any of these events seem to gain some traction.

 Kind regards,

 Matt

 Hi Matt and Richard,

Do you want to have Jane provide the Interop Demo SC an overview on the below? If not, we can do it in the TC, of course. Your call. I’m fine either way.

 Thanks,
 Paul

Hi Jane – hmmm. My inclination would be for the Interop Demo SC to field this first and report their venue/date recommendations up to the TC for review/approval, as always. Let’s take this offline with the SC co-chairs so that a mutually agreeable discussion
date with the Interop Demo SC can be worked out. That said; I think providing this general list of opportunities to the TC at-large is a good and transparent thing, and I would ask you to continue to share the overall list of new opportunities for demonstrations
with the TC from time-to-time. We may get more folks stepping forward to do Interop Demos that way! :-)

 Thanks,
 Paul

 Hello Paul (and others),

I will make myself available to attend a future TOSCA TC and/or Interop SC meeting.  Please keep me in the loop on the details and let me know what makes the most sense.  Kind regards, Jane

 Hi Jane,

Thanks very much for bringing this to the attention of the TOSCA TC. If you would like to present an overview of all these opportunities to the TC, please let me know. We would be glad to put you on the agenda so that folks can understand directly from you
the benefits implicit should we choose to participate in the Cloud Expo East and Cloud World Forum Interop demonstrations.

That said; our evaluation and commitment would come after our Interop SC considers this information and makes specific recommendations to the TOSCA TC for its final consideration and approval at a later date. At that time, we’ll be glad to get back to you with
  specifics, of course.

Regarding Forecast 2014, we already have some video material, so I am personally enthusiastic that this may appeal to the TC members and the Interop SC. IMHO, this seems like low-hanging fruit, at least upon initial examination.

 Thanks,
 Paul

 Dear TOSCA TC Members,

As you know, we are continuing to research ways to educate the marketplace on the benefits and status of our TOSCA work, and to provide visibility for TC members.

Below are a few new marketing opportunities for the Committee to consider.  We hope the Committee will participate in one or more of the opportunities.  I plan to join the next Committee meeting to facilitate a discussion and answer questions.  In the meantime,
please feel free to send around any initial feedback and/or questions.

 Thanks so much, Jane
