Aside from the risks identified on the W3C site,

my main concern is the fact that, in the XML instance, there is no direct way of telling that someone is using a 'redefined' UBL component rather than the 'original'. I'm not sure this is a showstopper, but things like that bother me...

As an aside, I think that UCC decided in their architecture not to allow
the use of redefine, but I don't know why (if my memory serves me
correctly).
