Tim,
I would like to offer some comments related to transport definitions and the
mappings you propose.

1. Firstly, I note that the definition of "Consignment" in your spreadsheet
states: 

"A separately identifiable collection of goods items (available to be)
transported from one consignor to one consignee via one or more modes of
transport."

And the definition of "Shipment" in your spreadsheet states:
"Information about a shipment."

About a year ago when we were discussing definitions and I believe we came
to a consensus regarding a definition for shipment:

.          SHIPMENT

The arrangements necessary for an identifiable collection of one or more
goods items to be transported between the original consignor and the
ultimate consignee. This information represents what is required, that is a
"logical" or contractual view. A shipment can be transported in different
consignments (eg split for logistical purposes). 

As documented in that email, "Jon will then use this definition wherever the
definition of shipment is used." I guess this may have fallen through the
crack, but is now most important as we look for alignment with UNCEFACT.

2. Given those definitions: I ask, to which of the following, if any, should
UBL "Shipment" (as defined by the Action Item) be nominally aligned? 

Trade Transactions (as you've proposed) defined in CCL08B as: 
A group of trade line items, trade agreement, trade delivery and trade
settlement details.

Trade Settlement defined in CCL08B as:
The information that enables the reconciliation of a financial transaction
with the item(s) that the financial transaction is intended to settle, for
example a commercial invoice.

Trade Delivery defined in CCL08B as:
The shipping arrangements and movement of products and or services including
despatch and delivery.

While some of the BBIEs connect indirectly to Trade Delivery, is that the
best way to align? The prominent perspective of trade delivery seems to be
"arrangements" just like in the definition of shipment, so shouldn't te

Given the distinction that the UBL TC has made between Consignment and
Shipment, might it be better to propose a whole new ACC called Shipment with
its unique set of attributes?

3. Regarding the alignment of Transport Event to Event, it seems likely that
Completion Indicator and Current Status may be acceptable to add to Event,
adding Trade Transaction as an association may not be acceptable to TBG17 in
which case, maybe we should propose a separate object called Transport Event
with the ABIEs UBL needs?
