Hi Audun,

Here is a starting point for some of the party information contained in
the UN/ECE codes (search the page for 'party').  When we were
originally creating code lists for UBL way back when, I spent a lot of
time searching for codes that were similar to what we wanted to
communicate.  Sometimes the UN/ECE were close, sometimes not so close. 
The ones referred to in UBL past releases were most accurately
representative of the information we wanted to communicate.   There
should be more of these existing code lists that can be used by trading
partners for ease of interoperability, use, and maintenance.   Here is
one link to one of the unece lists containing some party information.
