Fresh info from EU Commission side:

We are pleased to inform you that the  draft  of the first Commission Implementing Regulation setting implementation specifications for Regulation  (EU) 2020/1056  on electronic freight transport information (eFTI), and more specifically laying down rules and procedures for competent authorities has been published for feedback. The feedback period will run until  21 November 2023.

In summary:

The EU Commission had 2 models to choose - 'eDelivery / Peppol /  4 corner ' and 'Verifiable Credential data exchange' - with this act Commission have chosen eDelivery as the core model and it will be mandatory to all EU 27 Member States from 2026.


eDelivery/PEPPOL is an EU-funded technology.
