Re: [uddi-spec] Class deletion in ontology
Max, One of the changes I was going to make was to remove even this level of detail about managing the ontology as some people are going to try and define a standard API for this. Having said that, I would assume that a delete would fail if a deleted class had subclasses and at least one of those subclasses was not being deleted at the same time. Regards, John -------------------------------------------------- John Colgrave IBM Max Voskob <> 12/04/2005 11:36 To cc Subject [uddi-spec] Class deletion in ontology John, What happens to sub-class when a parent class is deleted as described in your proposal ? <Quote> 2.3.3 Delete The delete operation takes as its only argument an OWL file containing the names of the classes to be deleted. These classes may be from more than one ontology. </Quote> Cheers, Max ________________________________ From: Luc Clement [mailto:] Sent: Tuesday, 12 April 2005 13:01 To: 'Luc Clement'; ; 'Andrew Hately'; 'Jin Tong'; ; 'Von Riegen, Claus'; 'John Colgrave' Cc: Subject: RE: [uddi-spec] Action Items - 12 Apr TC Telecon Reminder of action items and tomorrow’s meeting – agenda forthcoming sometime the day tomorrow.
