OASIS WS-BRSP TC Meeting

0. Call to Order and roll call

Jacques Durand calls the meeting to order and welcomes everyone.

Approval of May 16, 2013 meeting minutes:

Motion to approve the June 13, 2013 meeting minutes with the addition of Micah as attendee.

2. Test Assertions

* Review of the proposed XML adjunct files(Tom Rutt)

Test assertions have been in the candidate package for a while. Tom Rutt elaborates on the main changes to the test assertions. All changes mentioned are in the document in the package.

* HTML rendering (Tom Rutt)

About the HTML rendering: unzip file in a dirctory and open HTML; styles are now relative.

3. Review of the latest complete candidates CSD for the 4 profiles (see current BP1.2, BP2.0, RSP1.0, BSP1.1)

Mail goal is to review the WD documents, possibly approve them as CSD and progress to a Public Review.

See posts from Tom Rutt 6/28 (fixing the issue previously discussed about conformance claims w/r to conformance clauses)

BSP1.1 : conservative approach: no description of conformance claims (none before).

Proposal is to approve each package as a CSD and vote for subsequent 30-day Public Review. 

The TC expressed concern that a 30 day public review window in the middle of summer (end of July, beginning of August) might not get the expected review coverage.

* Basic Profile Version 1.2

Motion that the TC approve Basic Profile Version 1.2, Working Draft 04 and all associated artifacts packaged together in https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/ws-brsp/download.php/49762/BP12-WD04.zip as a Committee Specification Draft and designate the DOC version of the specification as authoritative. We further direct the Chairs to perform any actions required by the TC Administrator to accomplish that issuance as soon as practicable.

We further direct the Chairs to perform any actions required by the TC Administrator to accomplish that issuance as soon as practicable.

4. Follow-up on the proposal to process the tools separately (donate to an OSS project) yet to retain authority on conformance criteria in the TC.

What tools have to be donated, what preferred OSS hosting? TC members to review the proposal and talk about this topic at the next meeting.

How to handle these issues?

Close the issue stating that we recognize there is an issue and confirm it.

Reason we cannot fix it, is this due to knowledge? What is the role of this TC in terms of issues we could fix? Suggestion to fixing outside of this TC.

TC members are asked to have a look at the issue so we can close these issues by the next meeting.

Jacques will get in touch with commenter to acknowledge the issue.
