OpenOffice PDF rendering

I've noticed that 
there are a number of problems with OO's rendering to PDF. One of them is that 
the internal hyperlinks don't seem to work in the 
resulting PDF documents. The other is that "mailto:" 
hyperlinks get broken. We need to talk to an OO expert about how to fix 
these.
