Portlet properties

Have we done any interop testing with portlet properties, particularly 
with multi-valued properties (a la JSR168 preferences)?

I've a question on typing for multi-valued preferences. Although the 
spec allows either string values or any type, it helps to have a common 
interpretation/approach for interop-sake.
