There are other subtleties that would
keep a v1 Consumer from using a v2 Producer. The largest of these is the
types existing in a different namespace as the versioning issues with WSDL
and XML Schema are the nicest. When the TC discussed this issue, the common
thought was that most v2 Producers would also expose v1 endpoints since
once one moves above the wire format, v2 is an extension of v1.

Hi,

   Was just going through the v2 pr-03  wsdl. Looks like  v2
 is not 

backward compatible  with v1 ?

 

For Eg: In the v1 :

 

The WSRP Service is defined as,

 <wsdl:service name="WSRPService">

While in v2 it is as

<wsdl:service name="WSRP_v1_Service">

This would mean all that a v1 consumer cannot be configured to use a v2

producer, without any code changes/recompilation of consumer ?
