Minutes of 2005/09/14 unofficial call

Following are the minutes of the 2005/09/14 unofficial call.

SCHEMA DISCUSSION CONTINUED

We continued the schema discussion of last week, focusing on a new schema
proposal generated from last week's discussion, posted at:

There was a long discussion of the merits of a simpler schema in which the
graph levels are not explicit. One of the advantages is the obvious way in
which it emulates the subject/predicate/object model of RDF. Another is its
easy of use, understanding, and flexibility.

The key question was the potential tradeoff on addressing/processing
efficiency, particularly on being able to locate the initial starting point
in the graph. Everyone agreed to think specifically about this issue and
continue the discussion next week.
