Minutes: Joint XRI and XDI TC Telecon Thursday 2007-02-15

Following is the agenda for a joint unofficial tele con of the XRI and XDI
TCs at:

AGENDA

1) INTRODUCTION OF NEW MEMBERS

Drummond introduced Giovanni Bartolomeo and Stefano Salsano and welcomed 
them to the XDI TC. Then he explained the purpose of the joint XRI and 
XDI calls.

He also talked a bit about Higgins and XRI and XDI and the discussions 
around using it in context identifiers in Higgins.

Everyone else introduced themselves.

Drummond also discussed the OASIS Symposium meetings. Giovanni said they 
would not be able to attend.


2) IDENTITY SELECTOR SUPPORT FOR XRI

Andy and Paul were not able to attend the call this morning.

Action: Drummond and Laurie to check with Paul and Andy and Steve to see 
when they will be able to have a conversation about Cardspace, Higgins 
and XRI/XDI.

Kim Cameron wants to arrange a meeting for next week. Drummond will pass 
the information along to the list

Action: Andy Dale to provide list of issues and post them to the new 
Cardspace/Identity Selector page on the XRI Wiki.



3) XRI SYNTAX STATUS REPORT

Drummond provided a quick status report, and will also announced the 
planning session scheduled for Tuesday, February 27th, at 2:00 Pacific time.

           
4) XRI RESOLUTION STATUS REPORT

Drummond provided a quick status report on XRI Resolution and reported 
that he is back in the drafting stage on this.

Action Item: Add an agenda item for the next meeting to review the 
working draft if it is available.


5) XRI $ DICTIONARY STATUS REPORT

Laurie provided a quick status report and summarized the key issues.

Laurie told the TC that they had decided to table research into using 
XDI RDF or ATI for the XRI $ Dictionary, and focus primarily on content.  

Action Item: The editors need to define dates for their next working 
drafts.  


6) XDI RDF PROPOSAL

Drummond briefly described the XDI RDF and ATI work to Giovanni.  
Giovanni mentioned that they had spent time researching a mapping from 
XDI to OWL.

Drummond also discussed the mapping from XDI to RDF and credited Steve 
Churchill with finding the mapping between the two models.


Additional action item: We will need to follow up to see if 10 am PT on 
Thursday is an appropriate time for the weekly joint TC call.
