  Joining a
member section requires a special majority vote of the TC:
(http://www.oasis-open.org/who/ms_policy.php)

 

6.5 Existing TCs, formed prior to the existence of a Member Section or
not initially affiliated with a Member Section, may apply for such affiliation
if a Special Majority Vote of the TC to affiliate the existing TC passes. Such
affiliation must then also be approved by a Member Section Steering Committee
Special Majority Vote.

We should have a discussion in the XDI-TC and arrange for a vote,
 if we want to join the member section.

Once that is done I will present it at the
next appropriate SC meeting.

Hi John,

That's great.

The procedure is:

 

1) XDI TC passes a vote indicating that
they would like to be part of the IDtrust member section

2) At the next IDtrust SC meeting (or
conduct an electronic ballot), to approve the XDI TC to be part of the IDtrust
Member Section.

 

Please advise when (1) is complete so we
can proceed to (2).

 

Dee - please advise if I've missed any
steps.

Again, thanks for all your help on the XRI
2.0 vote. Things are already proceeding rapidly out of it – in the end it
may turn out to be a bigger boost than a conventional yes vote.

In any case, one step I think we’re
now ready for is the XDI TC (http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/xdi)
formally joining the IDtrust Member Section. How would we proceed with that? Do
you need to send us an invitation? (Bill Barnhill and I are co-chairs.)
