I’m sending out a 2nd version of the
XLIFF 1.2 revised spec (calling it 20051411b,  to differentiate from today’s
earlier spec), which addresses the changes that were agreed to informally at
the last XLIFF TC teleconference as proposed by Magnus:

 

Ø      
Changed name attribute for
<context-group> from required to optional, and modified description.

Ø      
Added extension point at <xliff>

 

The other 3 changes proposed by Magnus were informally
differed to a later release.

 

The changes are also reflected in the attached XSD, also
included.

 

Note that since that teleconference was not quorate, I
felt the TC teleconference would be more productive by choosing one of the two
spec revisions – so that if we’re quorate tomorrow, we’ll be
able to have a binding vote to approve the 2 changes proposed, as well as have
a binding ballot on the revised spec representing those changes.  And if
we are quorate but decide against the changes informally adopted at the last
meeting, we can still approve a committee draft - the 20051411 version.

 

Sorry for the extra spec, but I don’t want us
to slip out by another month in case the TC doesn’t ratify the informally
agreed changes.
