of the features once discussed in the mail thread. (e.g:

probably best be done as an extension module. I also think
there is room for improvement over the 1.2 feature set. I
think it might make more sense to have a “maxlength”
attribute and an optional specification of what the unit is,
instead of “maxbytes”. I also think it could be useful to
specify an equivalent size for inline codes that get added
to the text size.
