BTW, I killed the inheritance and default dependency, as it indeed was causing more trouble than convenience
Also added the MUST NOT Merge PR on <segment> as promised but forgotten yesterday

Unable to print now due to issues with the automatically generated trees Tom committed earlier today/late his night..

We would go from an 'approved' attribute with unclear relationship with the states and by default set to 'no', to a clearer

'canMerge' attribute that is completely independent from state and set to 'yes' by default. That doesn't look like a circle or a

minor change to me.
