We've been here before ...

It might be true that _anything_ that could be identified with a URI 
and hence be on the web, but it doesn't follow from that that
_everything_ could be identified with a URI and hence be on the web
(The Fallacy of Composition, qv.).

Why not? Because there is at most a countable infinity or URIs 
(they're finite string of characters drawn from a finite alphabet),
but no obvious bound on the number of "things", eg. there are far
too many real numbers, or shades of blue for each to have a distinct
URI.

There are more things in Heaven and Earth than are dreamt of in
RFC 2396.
