Thanks for the links Noah - I'm glad to see you guys are tackling that
thorny problem.

Although I'm surprised that more work isn't done with prototype
inheritance in the context of XML languages - I find it typically
results in more elegant type systems and supporting software.  I
remember searching around, and didn't find much discussion on the topic
except for some posts back in 1997.
