FW: [dita-adoption] Feature articles uploaded to wrong KAVI location
Hi
all,

After
consultations with our TC administrator (Mary McRae) it turns out we can't
change the folder after an object has been uploaded to the wrong folder. We have
the following options:

1.
Leave the legacy as it is and just upload to the correct folder for new
uploads.

2.
Upload duplicates to the correct folder, meaning we'll have duplicates in the
wrong and right folders.

Let's
discuss next meeting and close on how we'll proceed with
this.

you are forever stuck. sorry. you can reupload into the proper
folders; means you'll have 2 copies but if that helps significantly with finding
things might be worth your while?

Is
this something a system admin could help with, or are we forever stuck with
  docs in the wrong folders?

I guess it can't be done then. Must be a Kavi interwoven
  permissions problem. Sorry.

Hi
    Mary,

I
don't see the Manage option. If I click the name of the document, the
document gets downloaded. If I click Details I don't have a Manage option. I
    seem to be missing something?

you should be able to go to the specific document, click 'manage'
then click 'modify' then change the folder name.

Hi Mary,

It's not something a chair can do, since I'm chair of the DITA
Adoption TC. Let me document all the problem ones and I'll send you a
      formal request for admin intervention.

Hi Gershon,

I believe there is a way to reassign a document to a
different folder; not sure if it's something only a chair/secretary can
do. I've never tried it though and since folders aren't visible to
non-OASIS members it's not something I've spent any time on. (the files,
of course, are visible, but not the folders).

Hi Mary,

I discovered that some DITA Adoption TC members have been
uploading their feature articles to the wrong folder. I don't see a way
to fix this via KAVI. How can we assign the correct folder after a
document has been uploaded to an incorrect folder?

Thanks in advance,

Hi
        team,

When
uploading documents, please be sure to upload them to the correct KAVI
folder. We have a lot of feature articles in the "Calendar Documents"
folder, which is wrong. Once uploaded, I don't see a way to fix the
incorrect folder selection. I'll ask Mary McRae how we should proceed to
        fix these.
