DOCBOOK-APPS: Enabling Backends

Hi!

Do I have to enable the TeX, MIF, and RTF backends explictly in a
customized version of the Modular DocBook Style Sheets or does passing "-V
tex-backend", "-V mif-backend", or "-V rtf-backend" on to Jade/OpenJade do
the same thing. Or do I need both (modification of the style sheets +
command line switch)?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
