DOCBOOK-APPS: xsl/dovbook ver4.1

hi,
i think normans stylesheets are not properly working, seems to have some
problems apart from not being up to date
i have attached a part of the errors (with debugging turned on with xalan) 

mainly with xref apparently it looks like it searches for 
id at linkend
then looks for xreflabel at the target but doesn't select the value of
xreflabel as the text to generate and gives error in the parsed document 

norman can you fix this ?
if you want i can send the entire output of debug but let me warn you it is
huge (2mb)
