Templates figures customization and LOF separation

I am wanting to modify the way my figure information appears in my 
chunked XHTML
Looking simply to change the justification of the image and appearance.

Can someone help me with which template(s) affect the display of figure 
and imagedata.

Also wanting to separate my List of Figures from my Table of Contents.  
I found a post with this as a feature request back in 2001.  Has this 
been implemented or other workaround available?
