Patch for PassiveTex problem with proportional-column-width?

Hi list,

as already known, PassiveTex does not handle proportional-column-width
correctly.

Is there a bugfix or patch available somewhere? The current zip file on
http://www.tei-c.org.uk/Software/passivetex/ dates from 06-25-02.

Can I customize the XSL stylesheets to work around it?

Any help would be most appreciated.
