RE: [docbook-apps] glosssee vs. glossseealso

You use a glosssee when you don't have a glossdef and 
want to redirect the reader them to another term. You use glossseealsos to refer 
the reader to other glosssentrys for additional information (related 
terms).

Can someone explain why a 
  'glosssee' element is a direct descendant of 'glossentry', whereas 
  'glossseealso' is a direct descendant of 'glossdef', which is a child of 
  'glossentry'?
