  Yes, good idea.  It would be nice to have something like the
following in each docbook.xsl (for XSL-FO, HTML, XHTML, ...), somewhere
near the top of the template rule matching "/":

    <xsl:comment>
       <xsl:text>&_#10;    Version:    </xsl:text>
       <xsl:value-of select="system-property('xsl:version')"/>
       <xsl:text>&_#10;    Vendor:     </xsl:text>
       <xsl:value-of select="system-property('xsl:vendor')"/>
       <xsl:text>&_#10;    Vendor URL: </xsl:text>
       <xsl:value-of select="system-property('xsl:vendor-url')"/>
       <xsl:text>&_#10;</xsl:text>
    </xsl:comment>

in order to have a comment like this one at the top of each generated
file:

    <!--
       Version:    2.0
       Vendor:     SAXON 9.0.0.6 from Saxonica
       Vendor URL: http://www.saxonica.com/
    -->
