Description
At the May 1st, 2012 meeting of the Infrastructure Framework Subcommittee,  the members discussed the following topics:

 1.  TOPIC: Do we have a final draft of the DE 2.0 specification addressing  all comments?  (Answer: We now have a draft addressing all remaining  comments but we still need to review, approve, and do final cleanup.  The  last comments addressed include EMFW-6 ? confirmed that we're using latest  GSF profile, EMFW-5 ? RefDateTimeSent remains required, EMFW-4 ?  xs:anyAttribute is deemed needed and appropriate, EMFW-3 ? double importing  resolved by using latest W3C Xlink schema, EMFW-2 ? a test comment, EMFW-1  ? specified cleanup items addressed.)

 2.  TOPIC EMFW-3: Should we convert to using the latest official W3C Xlink  schema?  (Answer: Yes. Adoption of the latest W3C Xlink schema will help  standardization and help to avoid double importing of Xlink and avoid the  need for the additional xlink schema found in earlier versions of the draft  DE 2.0 schema.  The challenge is that some of the attribute names or group  names have changed and the new official schema uses the same namespace as  the older schema we and related EDXL standards, like Hospital Availability  and GML Simple Features Profile, were using. Consequently, there remain  double-import issues until those schema are updated.)

 3.  TOPIC: What remains to be accomplished before we are ready for  resubmission of our draft DE 2.0 specification for final public review?
(Answer: 3. Subcommittee members should review the specification to confirm  all changes have been implemented to everyone's satisfaction, so we can  approve all the changes and close the issues. Then we need to do one last  review for cleanup and repackage the schema and documentation into a final  zip package for submission to OASIS staff to prep for final 15-day public  review.)
