This web cast will provide an exploratory discussion on the capabilities of OpenADR  (Open Automated Demand Response) and the potential to expand
 the capabilities that include additional functionality to manage virtually any type of Distributed Energy Resource (DER) to take advantage of advanced capabilities such as volt-var management that could be provided from Inverters, microgrids, Conservation
 Voltage Reduction (CVR), or even some loads with advanced capabilities. As a basic use case, implementing Volt-Var management as a new signal type for the OpenADR protocol will discussed as well as sharing many other potential use cases that could conceivably
