Notes from KMIP interop call, April 27

Here are my summary notes from today's interop call. Please let me know
of any additions/corrections you might have.

Attending: Mathias, Bruce, Krishna (IBM), John, Steve, Stan (HP), Alan
(SafeNet)


Implementation Updates: 
- SafeNet client successfully tested
against IBM server with new Usage Limits format, still planning to include
Revoke when destroying active objects.
- EMC client successfully tested for
use cases 3.1-3.4, no updates regarding server. No updates for HP server.
- Tim Hudson recently joined TC as an
individual, has been testing client against HP and IBM servers.

- SafeNet working on implementing searching within custom attribute structures
- no-one else supporting this atm, seems quite hairy


Technical Issues:
- A client API is not so straight-forward,
some helper classes needed.
- API in the form of facilitating bundling
of operations (e.g., find all keys in a group, perform some operation on
this group)?
- SafeNet working on C client API, but
not sure if it could be published/distributed.
- API discussion related to the somewhat
ongoing discussion regarding open-sourcing.
