At one point we had a long and protracted discussion about why party did not work and actor was better. This was a long, long time ago. My recollection is there was a concern that attorney's were not parties, witnesses were not parties, and that the term party was too limiting for the myriad types of relationships that CourtFiling was trying to address. I MIGHT be able to find some of these, but I have since upgraded computers and may have lost the discussions. They would have occurred around the time of the Winter 1999 Phoenix F2F meeting. Rich Himes may be able to help on reconstructing this, if appropriate.
